Too Fast

Today I realize that Lucian is growing ever so much, each and every day. The time is flying by faster that I could imagine.
Case in point: yesterday he learned how to open all the doors in our house, he has been picking up at least one new word a day, some how he has become addicted to TV (he is always saying TV or Blues) and then tonight he learnt how to open the fridge. With what my friend Kelly has had to deal with so far, I am not looking forward to this stage.
In fact I am a little afraid and completely worried!

Mikhail is growing fast. Lucian and him are complete opposites. The only reason I have time to post online right now is because Mikhail has actually slept in a schedule for the last 4 days!! I think he is finally starting to get into the swing of things, he is finally setting his own little schedule. Last Monday was his first sleep in his crib, which is working out really great except for the fact that his bedroom is on the opposite side of the house. There I find myself jumping out of bed at four in the morning and racing across my in tire house to reach him before he starts screaming. Mikhail is a demanding feeder, when he wakes up in the morning he expects to already be fed.

We took the boys to see their Grandpa John (my dad) last weekend and things went great. Lucian was on his best behavior, that is until the last morning. We left before Grandpa really got to see too many of Lucian's true colors. LOL We all had a lot of fun and Dad and I made jerky and burgers while Brandon got some much needed rest with Mikhail.

This weekend we are all geared up to decorate for Halloween! Kelly and Andrew are going to come over on Halloween night and the men are going to take the boys out. This will be Lucian's first trick or treating event. He is going to be a little three eyed green monster and Mikhail is going to be a bumble bee. I have never ever given candy out on Halloween so this is a very exciting Halloween for me as well. I hope a lot of kids come to the house because we went a little overboard on the candy!

Well I am off to attempt to sew a baby wrap, to wrap up Mikhail and make my life all that much easier.

Going from one child to two is a definite shock to our systems.

Well I really wanted an August babe and he showed up on the last possible day.

Born on August 31 2007
at 3:36 am.
9 lbs. - 12 oz. - 21 1/2 in.
He arrived 5 days late. My water broke at 12:55 am and we called our doula and started to get ready to head into the hospital, which is 45 minutes away! The contractions started coming faster and faster and on the drive to the hospital Brandon and I were getting pretty scared that I was going to have the baby on the side of the road. We got to the hospital and I was already 6 cm, only 4 to go. I jumped in the shower for a bit and then decided to get into the bath tub. So Mikhail was born a water baby!

I would have liked to have taken a lot more pictures but he arrived so quickly that we didn't have a lot of time. Our doula hopefully took a few more and I will post those as soon as I receive them.

Second Update

Here is another quick picture blog!
I am currently setting up the baby's room so that it will be all ready for the little guy when he arrives. I had a few minutes so I thought I would quickly update another blog full of some pictures that were taken during our move. Strangely enough I don't actually think there are any actual moving pictures at all but really they were taken during the moving process. I guess I just never really thought to take to many pictures of us actually moving anything. LOL

Finally time for a real update.

Let start with some pictures. The pictures were taken in May when we first took Lucian out to the part to ride on his quad that Grandma & Grandpa got for him.

Well folks here is half an update. LOL I thought I would would have more time to post this but sadly it always takes a bit longer that I expect. These pictures were May and June. By next week I will post some more and let everyone know what has been happening. That is as long as I don't have the baby between now and then. LOL

Finally back.

After waiting 20 some days for a phone and another 10 or so on top of that for Internet we are finally back up and communicating. Right now I don't have a lot of time to post but I wanted to jump on here and let everyone know that we are OK and doing great in our new home. I will be back on with in the week to update you all on the move, the house, Lucian and of course the little one on the way.

and the move begins

It is time, I can't believe it is actually time! We are going to move into our house. We still need to pack so much stuff. I actually shouldn't really even be on here right now, I should be packing. I need to pack, so anyway I will make this quick so I can pack. The family get here tomorrow and everything thing begins. Brandon and I must pack all day long so that we are mostly all packed when Brandon's parents get here. Then Thursday we are picking up a ton of things that we got off used Edmonton. Then Friday is the super big move. Friday and Saturday to set up then hopefully by Sunday we will have most the house set up.

When everything is set and done I will post lots of pictures!

Oh homeish

Well I am back in Edmonton. I haven't been able to get on the computer much to post anything. My mom is doing well, she is on her own now and I still worry about her greatly but she seems to be managing things fairly good. I am sure we wouldn't have gotten through all of this so well if we didn't have great people in our lives that we have! You know who you are!!! Thank you so much for all you have done.

We just signed the papers on our house yesterday and we get possession tomorrow. I am so nervous about everything!! I just hope everything goes well. I am very sorry but I don't think I will be able to be on here much to update until after we move into our new house. After we are a little bit settled it I will post with pictures and updates of everything.
