Well we have decide, after my information session at the Westveiw Medical Centre, that this is going to be the hospital for us. Instead of going to the super busy, cold, unfriendly and evilish Royal Alex we will be going to a much more birth orientated place. The Westveiw has three midwives that you build a relationship with throughout your whole pregnancy you also have group meetings with eight to ten other women that are due in the same month. They also have two doctors at all times. You always get your own room. Your room has a shower, a soaker tub, a birthing bed and a double Murphy bed. After your baby is born they never leave you unless there is a serious problem. AND they let your family stay with you if you what, plus you also get to eat and drink as much as you want and birth your baby how ever you want.
I am so excited!!! The only thing that kinda sucks about this is that it is like a half-hour drive in Stony Plain. In the long run I believe it is totally worth it, seeing as my doctor now has barley seen me at all and when she does its is only for 5 minutes. We have our first appointment on March 21.
I can't wait to see what it is going to be like!!
