Brandon's Birthday!

Well today is Brandon's birthday and sadly the poor guy has to work. We kind of had our little birthday moments on the weekend anyway. Lucian is sick and I think we may end up taking him into the doctor's tomorrow. In the mornings it scares me so much because he starts coughing and just doesn't seem to stop until he is almost throwing up. The rest of the day he isn't to horrible but he hasn't been eating really well either so we are thinking just to be sure. If he wakes up tomorrow hacking then to the doctor we will go.

We have been so busy that I haven't really had a lot of opportunity's to be on here blogging about anything but I am going to try really hard to update everyone a little bit better tonight. Hopefully I can even get some pictures up of Lucian and his little cousin Emma.

It seems the photo posting problem I have been having is being caused by the amount of photos I am trying to add. Apparently this blogger only wants me to have about 7 photos at a time or it stops working. So I have added this one mostly for the pictures! Even though the last blog I posted had 13 photos??? Strange program!!!

Here are some pictures that I have been trying to post for about two weeks now and not having a ounce of luck until now. Even though I was only able to post half of them.

If I would have waited 2 seconds more on this picture they both were in a full on embrace. It was too cute!

Corbin was pretending that all my butterflies and bugs on the wall were monsters and spiders. He would keep running and hiding behind the couch.

We went to Peace River for Easter. We only visited Bink and his family while we were there. It was so much fun to get out and take Lucian over there. Sara kept calling Lucian, "hey boy".

Well we had thought winter was over but just after Easter we got another big snowfall, so Lucian and I decided to run out and play in it.

As you can kinda tell, Lucian does not love snow. LOL


Well I guess that is all for this blog. I will try to post the rest of the pictures in another blog soon. It was my nieces first birthday on April 21, so I have some pictures from her party that I need to post up. Lucian had a blast playing with all of the other children. There were 5 children all between the ages of 1 and 2. Plus we had 3 pregnant ladies there so by the time it is Emma's birthday next year, the children will have almost doubled.

Really quick update.

Well I was hoping yesterday that I would be able to update everyone on what has been happening and post some pictures but Lucian has been sick so I haven't had much time for anything!! I am hoping in the next few days that he will be feeling a lot better and I will actually have some time to get online.

Pictures of the Bean

Well we went to get our first Ultrasound when I was only 8 weeks along. So it doesn't really look like all that much but a little bean. The top little part that looks like a bean is the baby. I would have posted this a lot sooner but I had to wait until I could scan the picture which seeing as I don't have a scanner, I had to do at my mamma's this Easter.

This is the picture we got taken at our ultrasound just last week. If you click on it and enlarge it you can actually see quite a lot of little features. When we went to have the ultrasound the baby was so active that it took the person a lot before she could even get the pictures. Although she still couldn't tell us what sex the baby was. Brandon is adamant to find out what the sex is so he made us an appointment an this place http://www.uc-baby.com/ab/index.php <---CLICK IT. So we have an appointment at that place on May 12. We are super excited. I wish we could just know now.

Today Lucian discovered that he doesn't like broken cookies. If it's broken he isn't eating it. I kept telling him to eat his cookies and he would just look at his broken pieces and cry at them. Corbin came over for a little while today and he had a blast. He ran around like a turkey!! He is so full of energy that even Lucian could keep up with him. Finally he had to sit back and just kind of watch Corbin run everywhere. It was a lot of fun.

Kinda scary news, at Brandon's work they have had almost 20 layoff in two days. I am really freaked out about it but I am not going to let it effect my weekend in anyway. Nothing will effect my turkey feast! I can't wait to see my momma, we are going to dress Lucian up and stick him in the snow. Oh it is going to be a fun weekend, minus all the driving.

Owie, my are hurts!

Well I think Lucian has finally stepped into the wonderful world of toddler hood. In the last week Lucian has started doing everything he shouldn't be doing. He is throwing things at me, hitting me, beating the cats, and he even bit me again but this time harder than ever before. I am bruised and half expected to be bleeding it was so bad. We need to buckle down and become parents, time to start with the discipline. Now we just need to figure out what is going to work with the little man.

He is such a great kid I was just hoping he would miss this phase all together. Wouldn't that have been nice.

We just got back from our ultrasound.

It appears that we are having a very active health little baby!!
YAY 2 legs, 2 arms, a spine, a stomach, liver, kidneys, head and heart beat.
So I guess we just have to get through the next 20 weeks to meet the little one.

I forgot to add

Yesterday when I posted I forgot to also add that it was our 2 year anniversary on Saturday!! Yay us. LOL

I had a dentist appointment today and I only had a little itty bitty cavity. That they were able to fixed right then and there. So I am all good for another year. Lets just hope it isn't another 5 years until my next visit. LOL but luckily my teeth were in great condition for not seeing a dentist in so long.

Tomorrow is our ultrasound!! We are so excited to see the little bean!!! Can't wait to find out what it may be.

Relaxing weekend.

We got our car back this weekend!! Yay, so it looks like we will be able to head up to Peace River for turkey dinner after all. I can't wait!! turkey dinner is my favorite meal. We noticed some really weird actions by our car company once we had our car home. Don Wheaton, where we have always taken our car, is usually a car company that has a ton of paper work. When they change a fuse it is all about paperwork, when you drop off your car, when you pick your car up. This time, NO PAPERWORK AT ALL??? Isn't that a bit strange?? We didn't even really notice it until after the fact. Now I am a little worried that they didn't even put it on the books and that this is something we should be looking into. But now that we have the car back, it is a little late.

Last night Brandon and I made a Pot Roast in our new slow cooker, that I got for my birthday. It was so good! Lucian was having a really funny day and didn't really eat much all day. So sadly he didn't even try our roast but trust me it was awesome. Wish you all would have been here to share it with us!

Today Brandon and I took Lucian out swimming. Lucian really wasn't too sure about it. I think he will like swimming a lot more once he can touch the bottom. He seems to have gotten a little to use to the bath tub and the pool was just a bit much for him. We are hoping to take him often during the summer so maybe he will warm up to it a bit more.

So honestly we didn't really get to do a whole lot this weekend and enjoyed just being lazy and having a relaxing time at home. Now I am off to watch some Harry Potter and cross stitch.

This last weekend Laurie, Brandon's mommy came out to visit us. It was great to have her here. Lucian loved playing with Grandma!

Lucian got a wetsuit! LOL it is so cute. Brandon and I are hoping to take him swimming this coming weekend.

And then our tire fell off. That's right "FELL OFF!!" it was not fun! Thankfully everything is going to be covered and we should have to pay for anything. Thank god!!!

So after all that it is Monday and I think I need to get back to my spring cleaning. Not that I really want to, at all. I had better just get to it though if I expect to head up to Peace River for Easter.

But it is such a wonderful day.

Busy busy busy!!

Sorry everyone for not posting much lately. We have been so busy ever since Lucian and I got back from Peace River. Once I got back from Peace it was time to do some serious spring cleaning which we only got half way done. Next weekend we plan to tackle the last half. Then on Wednesday Brandon's mommy came up to visit us!! So instead of blogging I was visiting and cleaning but I promise to put away some time tomorrow to catch everyone up on all that has happened in the lives of Gear.

We are home!!

Well we got back to Edmonton ok. Our trip up to Peace River was quite the adventure. I pulled over to feed Lucian a banana on the side of a gravel road and got completely sucked into the ditch. Luckily we didn't have to wait there for too long before some really great farmers helped us out! Thank you so much!!! Then two hours later we drove down into the valley that is Peace River and realized that they have mountains and mountains of snow right now!!! When I got to my mothers house I could barely walk up her sidewalk as the snow had drifted 4 feet over the walkway. So I took Lucian in to visit with Baba and grabbed up the shovel and headed out to shovel the mountain of snow away. After all is done Lucian is happy to be out of the car and hungry so we start making supper when all of a sudden it sounds like it is pouring outside. It was! It rained for and hour or so and then proceeded to snow again about a foot. So there I was the next morning out with the shovel again.

Thinking about it all now if I had went into the back yard and just started tunneling I could have dug myself a great little igloo but oh how much work that would have been. Not to mention she has three dogs that do there business out there in that big pile of snow. On second thought that would have been a really really bad idea!!! Ewwww.

Lucian was pretty good on the drive up, he only had a few little melt downs. After the first day of visiting he started acting very insecure and needy. Then on the second day is was absolutely hysterical.

Now in the mean time Brandon is at home with this killer head cold that he oh so conveniently got when we had left. Here I was thinking thank the lords we aren't at home and won't catch this cold!! Not so lucky.

On the third day it was clear that the reason Lucian had been so upset the days before was that he had indeed caught Brandon's head cold before we left. He was sick for the rest of our visit. We have been home for three days now and he is still pretty sick. For a while I actually thought he was over the worst of it but now it seems as if he is just picking up different aspects of the cold. Today he is starting to be super needy and frustrated again.

I was hoping to get out to the gym a few times this week but by the looks of things it doesn't look like I will be able to go much of anywhere. I might even end up by taking him in to his pediatrician if it continues to get much worse. He has started coughing like a dog barking in the last two days and it is getting pretty violent as the day goes on. Geezzz and I thought I got away from all the barking once I left my mothers. HEe hee!! Poor little guy, on top of all this he was acting a little crazy in the kitchen earlier and fell and smacked his face on the floor and cut open his lip a little bit.

I hope by tomorrow he is doing a bit better and I can rest a little easier! He has only been sick one other time and that was when we went on vacation to BC and he really wasn't that bad at all. It was just a little bit of a cold that he was over within three days, nothing like this. Anyway I should be ending this and heading off to start supper so that when he gets up all there is left to do it cook it.

Lucian and I are off to visit my mother in Peace tomorrow so I won't be updating until we get back around next Sunday! I hope everyone has a great week.
